About Us

About Us

It may seem recent, but the journey began in 2024. Our resident artist, Dan, experienced a traumatic accident that left him deaf in one ear and dealing with tinnitus, double vision, and vertigo. Aside from physical therapy, Dan found mental therapy in the garage with old furniture and power tools (an ironic hobby given the vertigo).

What started as a way to cope quickly became a passion. Hours each day were spent creating, and within a year, the house held over 550 pieces—none originally intended for sale. It was simply therapeutic and deeply fulfilling.

Eventually, we decided to enter a few shows, and the response was overwhelming. Soon after, galleries began inviting us to sell our work. Today, we run an online shop while Dan continues to spend his days in the workshop—cutting, sanding, painting, smiling and taking on custom commissions.

Upcycling

Upcycling

Yes—it’s a real thing. Upcycling is the art of transforming discarded or unwanted materials into something of greater value, function, or beauty. Every piece we create is upcycled, meaning no two are ever exactly alike.

Because of the materials’ history, you may notice dents, holes, or other imperfections—that’s part of their charm. We like to call it “imperfectly perfect.” While the width and height of each piece are consistent, thickness can vary depending on the original material. Our work has incorporated everything from coffee tables and dressers to patio boards and fencing. Most pieces are sealed with a polyurethane finish, making them suitable for outdoor display.
